First Communion

-Sacred Heart School has Sacramental Prep but joins us for our Retreats and Parent Meetings. 
-First Communion Retreat is April 9th, 6-8:30 pm
 -First Communion is May 4th, 10:00 am Mass

-First Reconciliation is March 26, 6 pm

FRIDAY: 7:05 AM to 7:25 AM
SATURDAY: 4:00 PM to 4:45 P
SUNDAY: 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM

Confirmation begins in 8th Grade and your child is Confirmed that same year. 
 REP & Catholic School students are required to:
-Attend scheduled Parent Meetings
-Provide Birth &  Baptism info
-Perform 20 Service Hours
-Choose a Confirmation Saint
-Choose a Sponsor in good standing
-Meet with Sponsor- suggested once a month during the process of Confirmation. 
-Complete Confirmation Retreat April 6th.

CHOOSING YOUR SAINT NAME
While you get to pick a name, you are also discerning the someone you would like to emulate and who will be a friend and intercessor for you in heaven. So first, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your search process. Then, when you have done some research, pray to that saint and ask them to pray for you as you approach your Confirmation.

CHOOSING A SPONSOR:
1. A Catholic in Good Standing (as determined by their Pastor)
2. Is at least 16 years old
3. Has received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist
4. If they are married, they are in a valid marriage
5. Not your mother or father
Additionally, they should be…
1. Someone who you look up to as a role model, especially in their practice of the Faith
2. Someone who you can converse with about questions you have with faith or religion
3. Someone who will pray for and with you

SERVICE HOURS:
 5 Hrs. of Community
 5 Hrs. for Family
 10 hrs. for the Church
