"On the evening of that day, the first day of the week," Jesus showed himself to his apostles. "He breathed on them, and said to them: 'Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.'"

Children prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during their second (2nd) grade year. Children who attend Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools (BHCS) receive sacramental preparation from the school. Children who do not attend Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools should enroll in the Religious Education Program for preparation of this sacrament. All children, whether attending BHCS or Religious Education, receive the sacrament in the Church.
The following dates apply to all children who attend BHCS or the Religious Education Program at Sacred Heart Church (REP). The following dates also pertain to children who are parish members of Sacred Heart Church, St. Boniface Church, or St. Joseph Church.
Parent Information Meeting: January 12, 2011 at 6:45 p.m., Sacred Heart Church
First Reconciliation Retreat: January 22, 2011, at 9:00 a.m., Sacred Heart Church
First Reconciliation: January 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m., Sacred Heart Church
