"On the evening of that day, the first day of the week," Jesus showed himself to his apostles. "He breathed on them, and said to them: 'Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.'"

Children prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the second (2nd) grade year. Children who attend Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools (BHCS) receive sacramental preparation in the classroom. Children who do not attend Bishop Heelan Catholic Schools should enroll in the Religious Education Program for preparation of this sacrament. All children, whether attending BHCS or Religious Education, receive the sacrament in the Church.
The following dates apply to all children who attend BHCS or the Religious Education Program at Sacred Heart Church (REP). The following dates also pertain to children who are parish members of Sacred Heart Church, St. Boniface Church, or St. Joseph Church.

First Reconciliation Retreat: January 26, 2013, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m., Sacred Heart Church
First Reconciliation: Wednesday, January 30, 2013 6:30 p.m., Sacred Heart Church
